Collection: Songbird - Spring/Summer 2026

A trip to Venice inspired the Songbird collection, with its reference to the Art Nouveau style.  The Stile Liberty can be found in ornate buildings and old cafes around town, but Murano glass chandeliers, hidden gardens and the romantic way of life, also made me think about the ornamental outlined drawings of the era.

The hand-drawn patterns of Songbird are just a sweet nod to the more elaborate designs of Art Nouveau, but it has been fun to try to recreated the feel and look in a light, naiver way, especially in the Cora, Aubrey and Songbird designs.

The colour palette has a light, dusty-pastel feel that is not typical for the 1900s, but I wanted to tone down the busy patterns and give the collection a soft, watercoulour-like effect.  This is a collection for those who love light & delicate and perfect for summer/spring.

When thinking about this time in history, where im sure there were hardships, my mind nonetheless goes to soirées, with ladies in lovely dresses amid columned gardens surrounded by dragonflies and butterflies, which are motifs much used in Art Nouveau.
